Using the AI Shopper Bot

Learn how to configure and deploy the Cavaco AI Shopper Bot to provide personalized product recommendations and assist customers on your store.

What Is the Shopper Bot?

The Cavaco AI Shopper Bot is an intelligent, conversational assistant that lives on your store. It engages visitors in real time, answers product questions, provides personalized recommendations based on browsing history, and can even guide customers through the checkout process. Unlike a generic chatbot, the Shopper Bot is trained on your specific product catalog.

Setting Up the Shopper Bot

  1. Navigate to Site > Shopper Bot in your dashboard.
  2. Click Configure Bot.
  3. Give your bot a name and personality (e.g., "Aria, your personal style advisor").
  4. Upload a bot avatar image to make it feel more human.

Training the Bot on Your Catalog

The Shopper Bot is automatically trained on your product catalog once your store is connected. It can answer questions about product specifications, materials, sizing, and availability. You can also add custom FAQs in the Knowledge Base tab to teach it how to answer your most common customer questions.

Configuring Recommendation Logic

In the Recommendations tab, configure how the bot suggests products:

  • Bestsellers: Recommends your top-selling items to new visitors.
  • Browsing-Based: Recommends products similar to what the customer has been viewing.
  • Purchase-Based: For returning customers, recommends products complementary to their past purchases.

Deploying the Bot

Once configured, toggle the bot to Active. It will appear as a chat icon on your store. You can customize the display rules to show it only on specific pages (e.g., product pages and the cart) to avoid disrupting the checkout flow.
