Connecting your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ad Account to Cavaco AI allows you to sync your audience segments directly to Meta as Custom Audiences. This enables highly targeted advertising, such as retargeting cart abandoners or finding lookalike audiences based on your best customers.
1. Prerequisites
- You must have an active Meta Business Manager account.
- You must have admin access to the specific Ad Account you want to connect.
2. Connecting Your Meta Ad Account
- Log in to your Cavaco AI dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations in the left sidebar.
- Locate the Meta Ads (or Facebook Ads) integration card.
- Click Connect.
- A secure popup will appear, prompting you to log in to Facebook.
- Follow the prompts to grant Cavaco AI the necessary permissions to manage your ads and custom audiences.
- Once authenticated, select the specific Business Manager and Ad Account you want to link to this Cavaco AI workspace.
- Click Save or Confirm.
3. Syncing Audiences to Meta
Once connected, you can start syncing your Cavaco AI segments to Meta.
- Navigate to Audience > Segments.
- Create a new segment or select an existing one (e.g., "High Value Customers").
- In the segment details, look for the Sync to Ad Networks or Destinations option.
- Select your connected Meta Ad Account.
- Cavaco AI will automatically create a Custom Audience in your Meta Ad Account and keep it continuously updated as users enter or leave the segment.
4. Using Synced Audiences in Meta
To use the synced audience in your ads:
- Log in to your Meta Ads Manager.
- Create a new campaign or edit an existing ad set.
- In the Audience section, search for "Custom Audiences".
- You will see your Cavaco AI segment listed there. Select it to target (or exclude) those specific users.
5. Disconnecting the Integration
If you need to disconnect the account:
- Go to Settings > Integrations in Cavaco AI.
- Find the Meta Ads integration.
- Click Manage or Disconnect.
- Note: Disconnecting will stop future audience syncs, but existing Custom Audiences in Meta will remain (though they will become stale).
