Subscription Management Overview
Properly managing contact subscriptions is both a legal requirement and a best practice for deliverability. Cavaco provides a comprehensive subscription management system that automatically handles opt-outs and gives contacts granular control over their preferences.

Contact profiles show subscription status for each channel.
Subscription Channels
Cavaco tracks subscription status separately for each channel: email marketing, SMS marketing, and transactional email (order confirmations and shipping updates, which are not subject to opt-out).
Automatic Opt-Out Processing
When a contact unsubscribes from email (by clicking the unsubscribe link) or opts out of SMS (by replying STOP), Cavaco immediately updates their subscription status and suppresses them from all future marketing sends. This processing is automatic and happens in real time.
The Preference Center
Cavaco's built-in preference center lets contacts manage their own subscription preferences without fully unsubscribing. Contacts can choose which types of communications they want to receive. The preference center link is automatically included in all emails.
