Designing and Sending Your First Email Campaign

A complete walkthrough of building a beautiful, on-brand email campaign using Cavaco's drag-and-drop email editor.

Email Remains the Highest-ROI Channel

Despite the rise of SMS and social media, email marketing consistently delivers the highest return on investment of any digital marketing channel — often cited at $36 for every $1 spent. Cavaco AI's email editor makes it easy to create professional campaigns in minutes.

Creating a New Email Campaign

  1. Navigate to Campaigns > Create Campaign.
  2. Select Time-Sensitive and choose Email as the channel.
  3. Enter your campaign name and click Continue.

Choosing a Template

Cavaco offers a library of professionally designed email templates organized by goal (e.g., Promotional, Welcome, Announcement, Newsletter). Select a template that matches your campaign objective, or start from a blank canvas.

Using the Email Editor

The drag-and-drop editor allows you to customize every element:

  • Content Blocks: Add text, images, buttons, product blocks, and dividers by dragging them from the left panel.
  • Product Blocks: Dynamically pull products from your store catalog directly into the email. Great for product spotlights and sale promotions.
  • Personalization Tags: Insert dynamic fields like the customer's first name (e.g., {{first_name}}) to personalize the message at scale.
  • Brand Styles: Your brand colors and fonts (configured in Brand Settings) are applied automatically.

Writing a High-Converting Subject Line

The subject line is the single most important factor in whether your email gets opened. Best practices include:

  • Keep it under 50 characters so it doesn't get cut off on mobile.
  • Use the recipient's first name to increase open rates by up to 26%.
  • Create curiosity or urgency without being misleading.
  • A/B test two subject lines to let Cavaco automatically determine the winner.

Sending a Test Email

Before scheduling, always send a test email to yourself. Click Preview & Test and enter your email address. Review it on both desktop and mobile to ensure it renders correctly.
