Getting Started with Cavaco Drip Campaigns (Event-Based)
Cavaco’s Drip Campaigns, also known as flows, help you automate customer engagement based on real-time behavior and milestones, not calendar schedules. These flows are your engine for personalization, retention, and conversion — powered by customer actions, not guesswork.
1. What is a Drip Campaign in Cavaco?
A drip campaign is a series of messages (email, SMS, or both) triggered by customer behavior — like browsing a product, making a purchase, or being inactive for a set number of days. These campaigns run automatically once the right trigger is activated, guiding customers through a personalized journey.
2. Triggers That Launch Drip Campaigns
Drip campaigns start with a trigger. Here are a few examples:

💡 Cavaco supports many more triggers than shown here, including custom events and profile-based logic.
3. Explore Cavaco’s Library of Drip Campaigns
You can get started in one of three ways:
- Adapt from Cavaco’s Drip Campaign Library
Choose a prebuilt journey from the Cavaco library — each one comes with a recommended trigger, message templates, and best practices baked in. - Clone and Customize
Duplicate an existing campaign and tailor it to your brand using Cavaco’s intuitive campaign editor or AI assistant. - Create from Scratch (Manual or AI-Prompted)
Build a flow manually or describe what you want in plain English and let Cavaco’s AI agent assemble it for you.

5. Customizing Your Flow
Once your campaign is selected, use Cavaco’s drag-and-drop editor to:
- Add messages (email, SMS, or both)
- Add delays (e.g., “wait 2 days”)
- Add conditional branches (e.g., “If user clicked email, send SMS”)
- Insert exit conditions or entry rules to avoid spamming
6. Publish and Monitor
Once configured:
- Activate your campaign — Cavaco will handle the automation.
- Track performance by viewing flow entry volume, open/click rates, conversions, and opt-outs.
- Iterate quickly by duplicating flows, adjusting conditions, or requesting AI help to rewrite content.
